Connect Group – Supported Housing Officers

Brief: Connect Housing run two homes in Dewsbury for tenants that suffer from serious mental health issues such as schizophrenia, self harm and suicidal tendencies. Recruiting Supported Housing Officers has always been a challenge as it takes a unique person to feel a sense of achievement from helping a tenant gain even the smallest steps towards independence, without being overprotective.

Solution: The client was very keen to recruit locally as they didn’t feel some of the part-time hours they were offering would justify a long commute and 2 of the roles involved some over night stays. The creative needed to be attention grabbing but also to the point, to ensure that it attracted candidates who were drawn to a career within mental health, with or without previous experience.

Results: The client received a high influx of applications of a far better calibre than they had ever received before, so much so, they were able to create a pipeline of future talent. Prior to working with Feather Brooksbank they had always struggled to get even a few applications.
